Psalm 15: David Character Study

PERSONAL/BUSINESS EXAMPLES

BIBLE EXAMPLES

HONESTY

I keep my word even if it hurts.

I do not make promises I cannot keep.

I do not accept or pay bribes or kickbacks to get what I want.

People trust me with their money.

They did not require an accounting from those to whom they gave the money to pay the workers, because they acted with complete honesty. -- 2 Kings 12:15
GENEROSITY

I consider carefully requests for financial assistance.

I am patient with those who owe me money.

I go out of my way to help others who are less fortunate than myself.

I tithe a percentage of my personal income regularly

One man gives freely, yet gains even more another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. -- Proverbs 11:24-25
LAW ABIDING

I keep accurate records of my income so that I meet my tax obligations.

To the best of my ability I abide by the laws governing the licensing of businesses and the employment of workers.

I do not write cheques on my bank account if I know there is not enough in the account to cover the cheque.

I am careful to fulfil ALL my contractual obligations.

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. -- Romans 13:5-6
FAITHFULNESS

I am willing to suffer a loss of money to maintain a relationship.

I do not neglect my responsibilities as a spouse, parent or friend for the sake of my business or work activity.

I maintain a close relationship with God even when things get very busy.

I am willing to sacrifice my own interest to see another person benefit.

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. -- 1 Corinthians 4:2
BOLDNESS

When someone disagrees with me, I discuss the disagreement rather than pretend it did not exist.

I try to confront differences of opinion openly, not to pretend they do not exist.

I do not like to ignore inter personal difficulties I would rather admit to them and try to solve them.If I am having a problem with somebody else, I like to face up to it openly with him/her.

' I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs. "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you seek and you will find knock and the door will be opened to you. -- Luke 11:7-9
PERSUASIVENESS

I am good at convincing people to buy things.

If I want somebody to do something for me, I can usually persuade them to do it.

When I need people to do a task for me, I can get them to do it.

I can persuade people to do things for me because they trust me.

Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God. -- Acts 19:8
SENSE OF JUSTICE

I pay my bills promptly when I have the means to do so.

I think that employees should receive a fair wage for their work that is based on the value of their work and not on the prevailing market rate.

I think that products and services should be priced according to their value and not according to how scarce they are or how much they will get under prevailing market conditions.

I think that the best deal is the one in which both parties are satisfied and in which the seller is willing to accept the purchase back if the buyer is not happy with it.

This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place. -- Jeremiah 22:3
