cash flow for their families, ministries or mission activities. Ministries that target
business people in the marketplace are growing at a phenomenal rate worldwide. However,
the challenges facing these business or ministry ventures are considerable.
The Mission in the Marketplace Seminar will
provide you with immediate benefits to empower you to launch your business or ministry
successfully. It will also help you improve an existing venture by providing a sound
biblical foundation and proven business planning skills. The Speakers and Staff will

development both locally and overseas and who also recognize the potential for mission and

A 30 hour Introductory Seminar for people interested in Business and Missions. The seminar
will equip you with a broad understanding of the context, principles, practical methods
and opportunities for Business & Missions Initiatives. As a student you will:
1. Understand the Biblical Basis for the Integration of Business and Missions.
2. Know Historical Examples and Lessons from Business and Missions initiatives.
3. Understand the present reality and context for Business and Missions.
4. Identify and apply principles and success factors for Business and Missions
Initiatives.

& Entrepreneurship.
A 30 hour Foundations Seminar for people interested in the biblical worldview in the
Marketplace. The seminar will help you establish a biblical foundation for your life in
the marketplace. As a student you will:
1. Discover God's purpose for you at work.
2. Learn to Integrate the Christian faith into your working activity..
3. Develop a framework for Ethical Decision Making & set Governing Commitments.
4. Discover Spiritual Disciplines for your life in the Marketplace.

3. Planning A Successful Small
Business or Ministry.
A 30 hour Skills Development Seminar for people interested in developing a business or
ministry in the marketplace. The seminar will equip you with planning skills and biblical
principles that will enable you to succeed in the development of your marketplace
initiative. As a student you will:
1. Be introduced to various Business and Ministry Models for the Marketplace.
2. Learn practical Planning Skills that will help you to launch an initiative
successfully.
3. Test concepts, ideas and skills through Case Studies and Group Evaluation.
4. Develop and present to the class a Business Plan for your Marketplace Initiative.

Learning Environment:
Students will attend lectures, participate in worship and
intercession, conduct research and develop a written business plan during the seminar.
Accommodations include housing for families and singles.
A typical day will begin with breakfast at 8:00 am,
followed by worship & intercession; then the Seminar Host will present a lecture. In
the afternoon students are free to explore, rest or work on their business plan. Evening
will include a variety of speakers who are working in or consulting with business ventures
that have a ministry focus.

The YWAM Okanagan Training Base is located at 1441 Green Bay Road in the beautiful
Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. It is one hour by air from either Vancouver;
Seattle or Calgary.
