4. Dennis Peacocke calls for a
Convergence of Global Leadership
The Convergence is a global leadership conference that will focus on the conversation that
must take place between the Church and the postmodern secular world. By definition,
convergence occurs when people of different ideologies begin to approach the same point,
even though they may be coming toward it from different directions, and engage each other
in meaningful dialogue. This dialogue can change the world by aligning it more closely to
Gods will and Gods Kingdom. As the church/secular conversation progresses, we
will have ever-increasing opportunities to fulfill Jesus promise to His first
disciples in Matthew 4:19: "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
To learn more about the God-directed movement which we believe is leading to The Convergence, send for our free tape. There is absolutely no obligation. Phone 800-700-0605; fax: 707-578-1168 or email: info@theconvergence.org. The Conference is in Santa Rosa, CA from June 24-27, 1999. Visit http://www.theconvergence.org/ for more information.
5. Religion Today discovers
Successful Business Church Partnership.
In the Feature Article for April 9th, 1999 Religion Today profiled a
Christian Business Person who has formed a partnership with a group of Churches in
Raleigh, NC to provide skills training and jobs to the unemployed. He says, "I found
the calling of God on my life with certainty, and I didn't have to leave my job to do
it!" The Partnership has been so successful it is now expanding nationally. The Job
Partnership Web Site is at: <http://www.tjp.org/>.

6. Christian Network Marketer takes
issue with Scruples over Residual Income debate. Do you have an opinion?
A Christian Network Marketer argues that Residual Income is a KEY BENEFIT of Network
Marketing rather than a ruse to recruit more clients for the Network Marketers downline.
Mike McLoughlin stated that Christian Small Business people should focus on selling
products of real value to their customers rather than perpetually recruiting downline
distributors of products.
Do you have an opinion on Network Marketing and Multi Level selling? Should Christians be in the Network Marketing Business? Why do we hear horror stories about relationship breakdown and church infighting over network marketing products? Whats wrong with promoting a business that depends more upon recruiting downline distributors for its revenue than selling products directly to customers?
7. Is Love THE
Integrative Principle or one of many various Dos and
Don'ts for the Christian in the Marketplace? WWJD Debate at Scruples.
A recent article posted to the Scruples Forum Page has generated great feedback about What
Jesus Would Do in the marketplace. The article argues that Love is THE First principle for
the integration of the Christian faith and work. Others respond that too much emphasis on
Love encourages situational ethics or abandonment of Gods law as the standard for
Christian conduct. What do you think? Join the debate at
<http://www.scruples.org/_articles/00000015.htm> or post us an e mail at <scruples@csi.com>

Michael Zigarelli has just published "Management by Proverbs Applying Timeless
Wisdom in the Workplace" Alan Ross, President of Fellowship of Companies for Christ

balancing the tension of serving God with building company excellence. Mike Zigarelli has
captured the essence of that tension by providing real world examples of those who have
succeeded. Using Proverbs as the bedrock principle upon which their success is based, he
has crafted a must read for anyone with a passion for making a difference in
the marketplace on behalf of Jesus Christ. Check out the Web site at <http://home.att.net/~zigarelli/proverbs.html>
