4. BizMish – A New Business & Missions Strategy Proposed

This strategy centers around a new missionary entity called the Bizmish. A Bizmish consists of both a business and a mission. The same team of people work in both sides of the Bizmish, fulfilling their dreams of being missionaries at the same time as they develop their careers. Three types of people make the Bizmish concept work:

1. The Entrepreneur-Missionary has the original idea for the business and/or mission, develops the plans, recruits team members, raises the necessary investment capital, and launches the Bizmish.

2. The Virtual Board of Directors provide wise business counsel for the Bizmish, and investment capital if they choose to do so.

3. The Bizmish Team Members use and develop their skills in the business side of the Bizmish, and use their spiritual gifts and talents to evangelize the world.

For more information e mail Paul Bryan at <pbryan@sapient.com> or visit <http://www.prayforthecity.org/favorites/bizmish/biz1_frc.html>

5. Business & Professional Network (BPN) Organizes Business Development Groups to assist Overseas business.

BPN believes that a small band of people (a team), united for a specific cause, can be a very powerful thing to launch and mentor businesses overseas. Individuals who want to get involved with a business overseas can get together with at least three other people of similar interest. Groups of four to twelve work best. Such a group provides continuity and resources that an individual could not.  For more information on theses groups or help in forming one please contact John Warton at <info@bpn.org> or visit the BPN web site at <http://www.bpn.org/>.

6. Best Practices in Business and Missions – What is your strategy?

The Bizmish and Business Development Groups are two new strategies for developing business and missions partnerships.  The Tentmakers International Exchange is developing a training strategy for Tentmakers (See the last Bizetmiz Bulletin).

What are your ideas for new strategies for Business and Missions?  What are some examples of Best Practices in Business and Missions? Please share your thoughts at the Business and Missions Forum at <http://www.scruples.org/Bizetmiz_Forum_toc.htm> or send me an e mail at <mm@scruples.net>.  We would like to hear about your experiences and share your story with others interested in this area. Thank you.

7. Christian Entrepreneurs CE Forum Launched AT TOPICA online COMMUNITY.

8.  Company Team Building Exercises that Make a Difference.

Are you tired of those company team building exercises where you have learned exactly how to respond? Do you groan when you find out that yet another has been planned for this season and you will be faced with building another skyscraper out of tooth picks and paper clips? Wouldn't it be great if this year the company did a team building exercises where the accomplishment was not so temporary but rather had a real impact on the lives  of others as well as your own team?

There is such an opportunity at the Black Sea Missions Base in Constanta, Romania. This mission base is directed by Mark Biech, a former member of the Thomas Cook Management team. Among the many things that transpire at the base, is the opportunity for companies to bring in their management teams for team building exercises that will make a difference. It is the team building trip/exercise of a lifetime and will make your team stronger as a result. All of this while helping your fellow man at the same time. You won't come back the same!

Are you up for the challenge? For more information about sending your management team overseas for this incredible opportunity, contact VCF Romania at <VCFRomania@aol.com> or ph in Canada: 604 855-9423
