I provide the top six priorities that one of my friends proposed for people in business:
1. integrity of heart and wholeheartedness towards Christ 2. resting in Christ, listening to him 3. praying for all nations (ethnic groups) 4. making disciples of our families, living within margin (not sacrificing our families to passion or indulgence) 5. making disciples of all nations 6. helping the poor and widows 7. acting as a reconcilation agent amongst the nations
These are, of course, excellent priorities. But these are not (I repeat, not) priorities specifically for people in business, they are priorities for anyone and everyone including the unemployed, retired folk, children, etc.
For people in business or in any other kind of work (art, politics...), it seems to me that the key consideration is: how to bring the institutional structure(s) into obedience and how best to use those structures....
This is not an area on which much work has been done. But if you can help start discussion/thinking on this, much good may come out of this.
At least people may begin to start asking other fundamental questions....
Warm regards Prabhu
